The Icon is a silicon Tone Bender, a three transistor fuzz, which, in this version, borrows the best qualities of the 2-transistor Fuzz Face and the 4-transistor Big Muff, to become it's own thing.

I wanted The Icon to be more aggressive than a Fuzz Face with thick tone without the wide wall of sound of a Big Muff. The tone character can be adjusted with the "Sag" knob, going from a more "zippery" saggy tone to a fuzzier more compressed tone. The "mellow" switch acts as a de-fizz-erator, removing some high frequency fizziness. The amount of de-fizz is adjustable with an internal trimmer (that I recommend never adjusting).
